"WIFI INDIA - BRIDGING THE DIGITAL GAP"

Wi-Fi is about to get faster and faster internet is constantly in demand, especially as we consume more bandwidth-demanding apps, games, and videos with our laptops and phones.Recent efforts towards promoting Digitization have led to mass adoption of Wireless technology. Today most users have at least 3 to 4 devices that are connect to the internet wirelessly. But the next generation of Wi-Fi, known as Wi-Fi 6, isn’t just a simple speed boost. Wi-Fi 6 changes the way Wi-Fi will work forevermore. Wi-Fi 6 will bring with it immediate benefits in network speed, capacity and responsiveness to the broad market – benefits that will improve over time as more Wi-Fi 6-capable devices that can make the most of the technologies’ many capabilities replace systems with older-generation connectivity. Most common challenges faced these days are Wi-Fi Dead Spots, Slow and Unstable Connection, inefficient Bandwidth Usage, Connection Safety and Cyber Security. WiFi 6 brings with it an array of features which not only tries to mitigate these issues. With WiFi 6 there is no contention, no waiting, and no degradation in performance. Hence Wifi-6 is the need of the hour.

From India’s perspective, Wi-Fi 6E will be vital for preventing data congestion due to the massive surge in user devices. Similarly, with the deployment of 5G, users will need Wi-Fi 6E in their premises to enjoy its features, like enhanced mobile broadband, ultra-low latency and extended support for the IoT. Immersive technologies like AR and VR, currently transforming sectors like learning, entertainment, health, etc, need Wi-Fi 6E. India has high stakes in Wi-Fi connectivity. Users rely on Wi-Fi hotspots at airports, homes and elsewhere. Mobile operators use it to offload traffic from 2G, 3G and 4G networks. Rural users of BharatNet, the nationwide optic fibre network, need good Wi-Fi to exploit its capacity. The total broadband connections in India exceeded 800 million as per TRAI July report. On the global scale,WiFi 6 market size is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.39%. More than 2.3 billion Wi-Fi 6 products and 350 million Wi-Fi 6E products are expected to enter the market in 2022, and more than 15 percent of all Wi-Fi 6 shipments will also be Wi-Fi 6E this year.By 2025, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E are expected to surpass 80 percent market share and dominate the smartphone market globally.

Against the backdrop of such emerging technologies in the field of WiFi, Bharat Exhibitions is pleased to present its flagship event, the 4th edition of WiFi India Summit 2023 on 2nd February at Hotel Shangri-La, New Delhi. We are zooming in on massive new opportunities in WiFi 6 for the home, the enterprise, for devices with a special focus on innovation and opportunities of WiFi. The continuing rollout of hotspot deployment is being fuelled by the growing requirement for high-speed connectivity in public areas such as airports, shopping malls, conference venues, hotels, and so on.
